Our client, a prestigious beauty and cosmetics retailer located in the charming town of Paarl, Western Cape , is seeking an experienced Lead Make-up Artist & Beauty Consultant. This role is for a highly skilled and creative individual passionate about all aspects of make-up artistry and beauty consultation. You will be responsible for providing exceptional make-up application services, consulting with clients on product selection and beauty techniques, and potentially leading a small team of beauty advisors.

The position is based at our prominent store in Paarl , offering a client-facing role within a dynamic retail environment. • Perform professional make-up applications for various occasions, including special events, photoshoots, and everyday looks.
• Conduct personalized beauty consultations, understanding client needs and preferences.
• Provide expert advice on skincare, foundation matching, colour selection, and make-up techniques.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest make-up trends, products, and application techniques.
• Educate clients on how to use cosmetic products effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked make-up counter and working area.
• Promote and sell a range of cosmetic products, meeting sales targets.
• Potentially guide and train junior beauty advisors or make-up artists.
• Assist with visual merchandising and product displays.
• Ensure a high level of customer service and create a positive shopping experience.

• A qualification in Make-up Artistry or extensive professional experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a professional Make-up Artist, with a strong portfolio.
• Proven expertise in a variety of make-up styles and techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of cosmetic products, ingredients, and brands.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• A creative flair, attention to detail, and a passion for the beauty industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a retail environment, including weekends.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Experience in sales or client consultation is highly advantageous.
• Residency or willingness to commute to Paarl, Western Cape .
