Catering Supervisor

Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Catering Supervisor to lead their service team in Paarl . You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of catering events, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. This role involves direct supervision of catering staff, managing service flow, and ensuring all aspects of the event run smoothly. You will work closely with the catering manager to uphold high standards of presentation and guest experience, making this an integral role in delivering memorable events.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff during events.
• Ensure prompt and efficient setup, service, and breakdown of catering functions.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction throughout events.
• Manage inventory of service equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
• Train new catering staff on service procedures, presentation standards, and food safety protocols.
• Liaise with clients on-site to address any immediate needs or requests.

• Proven experience as a Catering Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of event service standards and protocols.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during busy events.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is essential.
