Purchasing Specialist

• Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, logistics) to understand their needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, or invoicing.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Stay informed about market trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with the local market in the Paarl area is a plus.
