Lead Project Manager, Capital Investments

Our client, a prominent player in the infrastructure development sector, is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Lead Project Manager to spearhead significant capital investment projects in Paarl, Western Cape . This role is critical for driving the successful planning, execution, and closure of large-scale construction and development projects. • Oversee the entire lifecycle of capital investment projects from conception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling for major infrastructure developments.
• Manage and control project expenditures, ensuring projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
• Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage their implementation to minimize impact.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Regularly report on project status, progress, risks, and financial performance to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive process improvements for future projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale capital investment projects, preferably in infrastructure or construction.
• Demonstrated success in managing project budgets exceeding 50 million Rands.
• Expertise in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of contract negotiation, procurement processes, and construction law.
• Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Paarl, Western Cape , with extensive on-site presence required.
