Our client is seeking a results-oriented Production Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all manufacturing and production processes at their facility in Paarl . This role is integral to ensuring efficient, high-quality production output while maintaining strict safety and cost controls. You will lead a dedicated production team, implement process improvements, and ensure that operational targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing operations management and a commitment to driving excellence in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of the production floor operations, ensuring efficient workflow and output in Paarl .
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet demand and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve high levels of productivity and engagement.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental policies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and optimize resource utilization.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management or a similar operational role within manufacturing.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies .
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and supply chain dynamics.
