Concession Attendant - SEASONAL

The City of Waukee is looking for seasonal Concession Attendants. Under the general direction of the Recreation Supervisor, Triumph Park Site Supervisor and Lead Concession Attendant, this position prepares and serves customer orders while providing efficient and friendly service. Concession Attendants support daily operations by assisting customers, maintaining a clean work area, and helping keep concession activities running smoothly.

Work Hours: 4 to 20 hours per week

Work Schedule:

• 4 hour shifts
• Weekdays: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
• Weekends:
  Early morning to evening

Wages: $12.00 - $14.00

Must be 14 years of age.

• Concession stand sales, cleaning, and stocking.
• Takes orders for food and beverages and prepares food items according to the instructions.
• Completes cash transactions accurately, totaling purchases and tendering change.
• Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies, and communicate shortages to Concession Lead.
• Performs clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession stand, food preparation equipment is sanitized and tidied up for the next attendant.
• Keeps food preparation equipment, building and storage areas clean and well-maintained.
• Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.

• Continued education in high school or above. High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 14 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Confident in the use of computers and tablets and able to be trained in software required to complete functions of the position.
