Telecom Field Service Technician

Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Telecom Field Service Technician to support their operations in and around Paarl . This hands‑on role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer sites. You will be the face of the company, ensuring customers receive high-quality service and technical support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, possesses strong technical aptitude, and is comfortable working independently in the field.

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment , including broadband modems, routers, and other customer premises devices.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on existing installations, resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Educate customers on service usage and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, equipment inventory, and completed work orders.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines while performing duties at customer locations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or telecommunications is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic electronics.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
