Our client is seeking a qualified HVAC Installation and Maintenance Technician to join their team in Paarl . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and residential clients. You will be responsible for both the installation of new HVAC units and performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of HVAC principles, and a commitment to providing excellent service, ensuring client comfort and system longevity.
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and ventilation units, according to specifications.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of existing HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems, identifying issues with refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical components.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency service calls to address urgent client needs.
- Maintain accurate service records, including parts used, labor time, and recommendations for future service.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician , with strong skills in both installation and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to HVAC systems.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments, including attics and crawl spaces.
- Relevant trade certifications or licenses are required.
