Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Developer to join their technology team in Paarl . This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing the company's e-commerce website and related applications. You will work on critical features, integrations, and performance optimizations to ensure a seamless and robust online shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities for the e-commerce platform using modern web technologies.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing automation tools.
- Optimize website performance, scalability, and security to ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues reported by users or internal teams.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce technologies, trends, and best practices in web development.
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Developer or Full Stack Developer with significant e-commerce project work.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
- Strong back-end development skills with experience in languages like Python, PHP, Node.js, or similar.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce, or custom-built solutions.
- Familiarity with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to development challenges.
