Flooring and Warehouse Assistant

Gilcrest Jewett Lumber, a division of US LBM is seeking a Flooring/Cabinet Warehouse Assistant for Our Waukee, IA Location.

Starting at $18.00 hourly. Overtime available.

How you will spend your day as a Flooring/Cabinet Warehouse Assistant:

• Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, every other Saturday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Maintain inventory by labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock.
• Receive floor covering materials/cabinets as delivered.
• Cut flooring to specifications as ordered.
• Operate forklift as needed, in a safe and respectful manner.
• Assist warehouse manager with inventory control.
• Occasionally pick up and deliver from jobs and suppliers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.

Flooring/Cabinet Warehouse Assistant Requirements:

• Experience: 6 months of previous experience in the building material industry (Preferred).
• Physical: Ability to stand for 8+ hours per work shift. Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach.
• Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 - 75 lbs throughout the work shift.
• Teamwork: Ability to work as a team and help motivate others.
• Excellence: Must have an excellent work ethic.
