Distribution Operations Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated Distribution Operations Manager to oversee their distribution center operations in Paarl. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, managing warehouse operations, and optimizing the overall supply chain performance. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff, managing inventory, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

• Manage all aspects of warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and space utilization.
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stock discrepancies.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and maintain high safety standards.
• Implement and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage operations effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the distribution center.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations management.
• Proven experience with WMS and other logistics software.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, material handling, and logistics best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
