Senior Calibration & Test Engineer

Cullerton Group is seeking a Senior LiDAR Calibration & Manufacturing Process Engineer to support a high-impact project for Caterpillar in Mossville, IL. Caterpillar has an existing LiDAR calibration process that takes approximately 8 hours per unit. The goal of this project is to determine how that process can be reduced to 1 hour using the existing technology, while maintaining calibration accuracy, repeatability, and product quality.

This is a hybrid W2 contract/SOW opportunity supporting Mossville, IL, with on-site travel as needed and approved travel expenses fully paid. Compensation is flexible and can be highly competitive for the right level of experience.

• Senior-level experience improving calibration, test, or production processes for complex electromechanical or sensor-based products
• Proven experience identifying process bottlenecks and delivering measurable cycle-time improvements
• Strong understanding of measurement accuracy, repeatability, test data, and process validation
• Experience working across hardware, software, test, manufacturing, and quality
• Ability to independently lead a technical process-improvement project
• Ability to travel to Mossville, IL for onsite project work

LiDAR or optical sensor calibration, LabVIEW, automated test systems, precision metrology, production test fixtures, optical/electrical test equipment, SPC, or DOE.

Direct LiDAR experience is a plus, but we are also interested in senior engineers with strong calibration/test backgrounds involving optical sensors, cameras, lasers, precision sensing, or other complex sensor-based products.
