• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course 1
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone, chat
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher (minimum requirement)

The pay range for this position is $11.00 - $27.00 per hour, subject to local minimum wage laws. Individual pay decisions depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may be eligible for incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans. Eligible associates may enroll in medical and prescription drug coverage, the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, virtual fitness center programs, and the associate discount program.
