Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Corporate Functions IT to lead technology strategy, delivery, and support for global Finance and Procurement functions. This is a high-impact role overseeing a large-scale portfolio that includes more than 550 applications—35 of which are mission-critical enterprise systems—and an annual project investment of over $40 million.
The successful candidate will manage and inspire a team of managers and individual contributors, as well as more than 100 service partners, to deliver modern, scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and business value.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute 3–5 year strategic roadmaps for Finance and Procurement technology, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and securing necessary budgets.
- Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate current capabilities and design a path to achieve best-in-class performance.
- Build business cases and ROI models for projects, preparing formal funding requests and managing financial estimates and reporting.
- Oversee capacity planning and staffing to support ongoing projects while anticipating future needs across the domain.
- Partner with strategic vendors and sourcing teams, reviewing and approving infrastructure and software-related costs, and monitoring execution against time, quality, and cost targets.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery and relationship management within Finance and Procurement IT.
- Guide communication and collaboration across business units, IT divisions, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
- Evaluate performance against KPIs, implement process improvements, and ensure effective governance across all initiatives.
- Provide executive-level reporting on strategic initiatives, technology investments, and project progress.
- Modernize financial and procurement systems by identifying improvement areas, introducing cloud solutions, and leveraging automation to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team of managers and specialists, building a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, influencing decision-making and gaining support for strategic initiatives.
- Well-defined IT strategy and roadmaps for Finance and Procurement.
- Successful execution of projects and technology initiatives exceeding $40 million annually.
- Stability and efficiency across more than 550 business applications.
- Improved operational performance through modernized systems and automation.
- High stakeholder satisfaction and strong executive alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of IT leadership experience in large or mid-sized multinational organizations, preferably in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven track record in defining IT strategy, driving business alignment, and delivering enterprise-level solutions.
- Strong background in Finance systems;
Procurement experience preferred. - Executive presence with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading both direct teams and cross-functional project groups.
- Deep knowledge of IT governance, program management, and organizational design.
- MBA or advanced degree in business or technology.
- Strong vendor management experience with global sourcing strategies.
- Certification in project or program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
- Broad knowledge of emerging technologies, enterprise platforms, and digital transformation trends.
- Proven ability to collaborate across cultures and disciplines to deliver global solutions.
