TITLE:

Scheduling POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Paper packaging manufacturing company located in the Waukegan/North Chicago area is looking for a Production Scheduler to manage the multi-level scheduling for production orders in both Illinois and Texas. You will ensure continuous plant operations and prevent downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Packaging (paper) experience is preferred.
  • Must have at least 5 years of complex scheduling multi-level production jobs.
  • Must have experience working in an MRP type system.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Scheduling of production orders considering inventory, lead times, and capacity.
  • Knowledge of machine capabilities, ink, paper stock, and cartons for effective scheduling.
  • Proactively reviewing material supply and requirements to determine appropriate actions to avoid material shortages in production. Make changes to schedules as required.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a changing environment.
  • Working jointly with other team members to identify options when supply is constrained.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.

  • Must complete ongoing training as required.
