Position Purpose/Summary

The Setup Technician is responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting machinery errors.

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

• Add, remove and adjust packaging machinery, such as case erector, bottle sorter, date code machinery, and cappers, to run various sizes of product and liquid fill packaging production cells.
• Troubleshoot machine and auxiliary equipment problems during setup/change‑over, and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
• Organize change parts and maintain areas as directed by management to facilitate rapid changeover protocols.
• Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures and set a good example for others.

Qualifications Education

Technical Degree or equivalent educational/military experience.

Experience

• 1–3 years prior Setup/Change‑Over Technician experience.
• Liquid filling Machine experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Technology/Software

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel.

Communication

Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.

Physical Capabilities

• Strength:
  Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
• Movement:
  Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight‑hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling.
• Hearing:
  Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment.
• Vision:
  Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly.
