School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukegan, Illinois

A Certified School Nurse (CSN) is needed for a contract position in a K-12 school located in Waukegan, IL. This role offers flexibility with options for full-time or part-time work, and the opportunity to start as soon as possible. The assignment spans the school year (CSY) and may involve supporting students across early childhood through transition age ranges. Depending on the schedule, some travel could be required.

• Conduct vision and hearing screenings for students, ensuring proper certification is maintained.
• Provide support with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) medical updates.
• Develop and write individualized care plans for students based on medical needs.
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies.

• Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential.
• Vision and hearing certification for school screenings.
• Experience working with IEPs and medical documentation.
• Ability to manage caseloads including diverse age groups from early childhood through transition-age students.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to accommodate either full-time or part-time hours.
