Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Control Driver in Waukegan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. You will help deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and serving as a visible presence for staff and visitors. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver’s license is necessary. - Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
- Wed 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
- Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
- Sun 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

- Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with security-related inquiries and directions.
- Follow site-specific procedures and policies related to access control, including the use of electronic systems and visitor logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, facility staff, and emergency personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports per Allied Universal and client requirements.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
