Credit Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Clerk to join a manufacturing organization in Waukesha, Wisconsin on a fully onsite Contract assignment. In this customer-facing role, you will support billing and credit activities by assisting with customer questions, returns, payments, and order updates. This opportunity is well suited for someone who can communicate clearly, work accurately, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Review and complete credit memo transactions while keeping customers informed on progress and resolution timelines.

- Respond to incoming customer inquiries related to billing concerns, return requests, payment questions, and current order status.

- Handle product return requests and clearly communicate applicable return terms and freight guidelines to customers.

- Research account discrepancies and billing issues independently, then coordinate with internal teams to reach timely solutions.

- Apply customer credit card payments accurately and ensure supporting records are updated correctly.

- Provide reliable order updates by checking internal systems and sharing current information with customers.

- Maintain organized account documentation and ensure customer records remain complete and accurate.

- Support additional credit, billing, and administrative tasks as business needs require. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required.

- At least 2 years of experience in customer service, billing, credit, accounts receivable, or a related function.

- Hands-on experience with credit memos, returns, billing support, or order processing is preferred.

- Ability to process payments accurately, including credit card transactions.

- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented customer service approach.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working in ERP or CRM systems such as SAP or Salesforce is preferred.
