Position Description

Title: Auto Glass Technician

Pay $22-$32 per hour based on experience.

Summary: The primary responsibility of an Auto Glass Technician is the repairing and replacing of windshields. Auto Glass Technicians must assess damage, remove damaged glass, install glass, and properly seal glass. It is essential for Auto Glass Technician to provide high‑quality service and uphold Collision Right standards for repair. Auto Glass Technicians should prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in their work.

Functions And Responsibilities
  • Comply with safety protocols to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Inspect auto glass components and determine the extent of damage and appropriate repair methods.
  • Adequately remove and install glass without causing additional damage to the vehicle.
  • Repair minor damage such as cracks and chips in auto glass using the appropriate tools.
  • Communicate with customers on repair processes and provide the accurate estimate of work and time needed for satisfactory completion.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies by obtaining relevant certifications and continuing education.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and estimates.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry heavy glass pieces and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of automotive glass repair procedures.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
