- Perform construction observation of municipal infrastructure projects.
- Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for municipal road and utility projects.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications and take appropriate action to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the requirements of the project construction contract.
- Maintain client relations while in the field.
- Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering technology or equivalent.
- Previous municipal infrastructure construction observation experience, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, and roadway construction experience would be beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Experience in Excel and Word.
- Experience working in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- Staking/survey experience.
- Strong written/verbal communications skills and the ability to operate independently.
