Overview

Job Responsibilities- Plan and implement high quality, standards aligned lessons for students in the class.
- Maintain appropriate classroom management during instruction.
- Utilize curriculum and resources to create lesson plans in both English and Spanish.
- Work with administration and colleagues to analyze data that informs instruction.
- Provide a positive learning environment of respect and rapport.
- Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Principal or CGO.
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge, basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google Forms.
- Demonstrates leadership in the classroom.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm towards students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to any situation inside and outside the classroom.
- Demonstrates organizational skills for the classroom.
- Demonstrates the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as a team as well as independently.
- Demonstrates respect towards the students, parents, and coworkers.
- Demonstrates the ability to listen to others and remain receptive to new ideas.

- Demonstrates the ability to follow and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in Spanish and English.

- Demonstrates excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Wisconsin DPI Teaching License for desired grade level.
- Bilingual Certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Previous classroom teacher experience, but not necessary.
- Focused on delivering high quality, standards aligned instruction in Spanish and English (Math is taught in English).
- Driven to form meaningful, engaging relationships with staff, students and families.
- Collaborative by nature.
- Present a positive, student-centered approach to the teaching and learning process.
- Enthusiastic and optimistic regarding moving each learner forward.
- Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with students, other faculty, staff, and parents. The position also entails significant walking, bending, standing, stooping, and possible physical interventions to maintain a safe learning environment. May require the ability to move students or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, position students in specialized equipment, and/or change diapers as needed.
