Technical Submittal CoordinatorThe Technical Submittal Coordinator is responsible for document control overseeing the creation, review, and approval of project specific engineering submittals for industrial generators. This role ensures that all submittal packages meet project specifications, regulatory codes, and internal quality standards. The Submittal Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the sales team, customer, Engineer of record, fabrication, and vendor teams to deliver accurate and timely documentation that supports successful project execution.
MajorResponsibilities
- Lead the development of project‑specific submittal packages, including drawings, BOMs, and compliance documentation specific to each project.
- Review and approve submittals prepared by internal teams and third‑party vendors.
- Respond to customer feedback and coordinate revisions to ensure timely approval.
- Attend customer meetings to support submittal discussions, rejections and approvals.
- Ensure all submittals comply with engineering specifications, local codes, and company installation standards and practices.
- Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to align submittals with equipment orders.
- Maintain accurate records of submittal status and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical support to sales and project teams during pre‑sale and execution phases.
- Collaborate with engineering to resolve technical issues and ensure design integrity.
- Provide support through all phases of the project, including closeout, by ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in industrial power systems or generator applications.
- Strong understanding of technical literature, document control, submittal processes and project documentation standards.
Job Requirements
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Knowledge of generator control systems and interconnection requirements.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer‑based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
