Role: CAD Engineer
Location: Waukesha, WI
Reports To: Supervisor, Design Engineering
Position Type: Full-time, exempt
Responsibilities- Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Develop small to medium scale designs that can be produced economically to maintain or improve company’s competitive position.
- Utilize CAD software to perform applicable drafting/detailing. Work from specifications and product requirements.
- Prepare orders for manufacturing by providing fabrication and purchasing instructions.
- Input BOM and method of manufacturing into ERP system.
- Bachelor’s Degree in structural, civil, architectural, mechanical engineering, or related field of study.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft software.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic algebraic equations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical>
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate proficiently and effectively in English with customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
