Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist (HRG) is an internal resource on employment matters, ensuring adherence to legislation, company policies, CBA's, and other matters related to staffing and performance. The HRG will manage day-to-day HR operations including full-cycle recruiting, assist with timekeeping and payroll coordination, employee relations, payroll investigations under guidance, total rewards programs, performance and talent management, employee practices and procedures, coordinating site training and development programs, maintaining HR records, supporting change management and employee communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports Department Managers and Supervisors in the execution of the HR people strategy to drive improve site efficiency and performance, with the goal of high engagement and low turnover and other members of the management to execute the site-specific people strategy, driving improvements in overall site efficiency and performance, with a goal of high engagement and retention in recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of various departments and services performed.
- Ensures uniform compliance with personnel policies by managing and reviewing all discipline, investigations, and workers compensation claims while reporting findings to management and involving Human Resources Manager when necessary.
- Responsible for managing overall performance, management and people planning, and employee engagement efforts.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, especially for high-volume hourly positions common in manufacturing. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel to fill various job openings. Reviews job applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements.
- Responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel and payroll matters and communicating those changes to appropriate staff. Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, including those related to safety, anti-harassment, and accident/incident reporting.
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for facility; monitoring to ensure proper implementation and interpretation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, manage HRIS data, and process related documentation. Oversees personnel record keeping related to new hire, employee review, promotions, transfer, employee benefits, separations and exit interviews. Assist with timekeeping and payroll coordination for the site(s).
- Regularly walks the manufacturing floor to build relationships, understand workplace dynamics, and serve as a visible and approachable HR point of contact, with the goal of improving and sustaining a positive employee relations climate within a union manufacturing operation. addressing employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations while maintaining a positive work environment.

-4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment required. - Experience in administering employee benefits & knowledge of payroll procedures.
- Experience coordinating and administering employee training. Experience with talent assessment & succession planning.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
- Experience in both union and non-union work environments is required
