SAP Ariba Lead Consultant Supply Chain Collaboration

The Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration Technical Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing and supporting SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration solutions. This role involves both technical and functional expertise to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of supply chain processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration modules.
Provide technical support for system enhancements, bug fixes, and integration issues.
Demonstrate functional expertise in supply chain processes, procurement, and supplier collaboration.
Architect and manage the integration of SAP Ariba with other ERP systems, such as SAP S/4

HANA.
Ensure data quality and manage data integration aspects of the project.
Provide responses to functional queries and support customer project implementations.
Guide and provide inputs for change management and long‑term solution sustainability.
Work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Build solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).
Synthesizes learnings into a logical story using quantitative/qualitative data and/or sound reasoning.
Communicate effectively to resolve problems or issues.
Apply a broad knowledge of Supply Chain solutions and its integration to client’s backend ERP system.
Establish credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with customers and be viewed as a trusted advisor.
Execute with minimal guidance and show strong initiative.
Work with project manager to determine needed resources/skills and bring them in as necessary.
Maintain regular communication with team members to ensure everyone understands what the others are working on.
Proactively collaborate with teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution delivery (e.g., change in scope).
Display proactive communication; more frequent face‑to‑face meetings and phone calls than emails.
Manage internal and external resources to optimize client impact.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of consulting experience with SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration.

Proficiency in SAP Ariba modules, EDI/XML integrations, and Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).

Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, and supplier collaboration.

Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment.

Additional Responsibilities

Co‑ordination with On‑Site Engineers and attending customer calls.

Raising risks, issues and escalation to senior management and customer.

Creating all quality documents, collecting metrics data and conducting audits.

Performing value creation and knowledge management activities.

Creating project plans and tracking schedule for on‑time delivery as per defined quality standards.

Ensuring process improvement and compliance; participating in technical design discussions and reviewing technical documents.
