• Supports and aids the Shipping Supervisor and Shipping Manager in the shipment of products from warehouse to customers.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Support the shipment of finished goods produced for sale to customers. Aid in production/storage of goods destined for sale to customers.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

• Education and Experience:
  
  Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.

• Ability to perform and interpret packing slips, enter correct information into the computer to acknowledge receipt of goods into the purchase order and processing database.
• Familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids for packaging requirements.
• Familiar with chop saw and how to use it safely and effectively.
• Familiar with a tape measure and how to interpret measurements.
• Familiar with a nail gun and how to use it safely and effectively.
• Familiar with common material handling equipment and licensed forklift truck operation.
• Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable. Experience with Netsuite/Pacejet software is a plus.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve basic math.

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
