Job Description

The Inspection Operator is responsible for verifying that all products going through the 211, 301, and 303 plants meet customer requirements. This includes identifying nonconformities, communicating and documenting issues as they arise, maintaining compliance with Therm Tech’s Quality Management System, and collaborating with production team members when needed.

Principle

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow schedules and process work to exceed customer expectations.
  • Use cranes or manual lifting (depending on part size) to transfer components from heat treating baskets/grids to customer containers.
  • Utilize the hot list and priority list for products.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs with the prior shift for verification of testing instruments.
  • Operate all equipment within the Inspection Department safely and efficiently.
  • Learn proper testing locations based on work instructions or part configuration.
  • Assist in developing appropriate inspection techniques where required.
  • Count and identify parts prior to inspection for verification of specific orders.
  • Understand proper packaging of parts, including wrapping, shrink wrapping, banding, double boxing, and tagging/identification.
  • Maintain verification test blocks and communicate with Equipment Quality for replacements.
  • Perform basic maintenance and adjustments on inspection equipment.
  • Assist with production when needed.
  • Understand tagging and transfer procedures and the processing of all materials within production areas.
  • Ensure plant organization and cleanliness.
  • Minimum Requirements

    All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test and background check.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must acquire and maintain forklift certification.

    Experience: Prior factory work preferred.

    • Proficient physical condition, able to lift 25 lbs. regularly.
