Position reports to:
Director of Quality
Under the supervision of the Director of Quality, QA Technician checks and inspects in‑coming materials, in‑process and finished products, ensuring conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Perform inspection on raw materials, outsourced parts, in‑process materials, fabricated parts and finished goods, making sure of conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot shop books and bill of materials problems.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
- Test finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, and appearance.
- Assist with inspections by outside agencies for factory and material certification.
- Conduct and document individual tool calibration and verification per company standards.
- Compile, interpret, and document statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
- Route product for re‑work.
- Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re‑work orders.
- Process non‑conformance reports when incorrect material is received.
- Ensure finished product is packaged, marked, tagged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation.
- Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
- Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Make recommendations regarding safe working methods.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical diploma or Associate degree in related technical discipline preferred.
- Three to five years related experience in manufacturing experience which includes working in a quality and/or responsibility for inspection of raw materials, parts, in‑process materials and finished goods.
- Knowledge of welding, painting, and fit‑up preferred.
- Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, paint film gauge, squares, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision…
