CNC Machinist

Wage: $55,000.00-$75,000.00/year

Shift: 3rd |

10:30pm-7:00am

This position is ideal for someone with strong CNC turning experience, blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close tolerances and quality standards.

• Set up, adjust, and operate NC/CNC lathes and machining centers
• Perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and taper cuts
• Read and work from blueprints, routings, and process sheets
• Use precision measuring instruments to set up and inspect parts
• Make machine and offset adjustments to maintain specifications and tolerances
• Identify and report CNC program issues and make program adjustments when applicable
• Set up tooling, fixtures, platens, and work pieces
• Recommend tooling arrangements, fixtures, and machining sequences when needed
• Assist with setups and help train less-experienced operators
• Perform secondary machining or auxiliary operations as required

• 2+ years of CNC turning experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and machine shop practices
• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
• Strong blueprint-reading and shop-math skills
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Experience operating hoists and cranes
• Large-diameter vertical lathe experience is a plus
• Must have personal tools and be willing to purchase additional tools as needed
• Ability to lift up to 38 pounds
