Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician

Overview
We are hiring for an experienced Security Install Technician located near the Waukesha or Madison, WI areas. Reporting directly to the Service and Installation Manager, this role is for a highly technical, customer-focused individual with 2+ years of experience in the commercial security systems field.
Responsibilities- Use approved project documents and maps to properly and efficiently install and service all Toepfer security solutions.
- Perform installations and services, including running electrical wiring in crawl spaces and related activities such as drilling and trenching.
- Connect control panels, meet application requirements, conceal wires, and install security software.
- Inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance of installed equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on installation jobs.
- Train customers in proper use and navigation of equipment.
- Maintain documentation on all work performed and equipment used according to policies.
- Communicate and coordinate work with operations staff and other technicians.
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with customers.
- Complete Daily Project Reports.
- 2+ years of technology experience in access control, video surveillance, and/or alarm/intrusion detection (e.g., Software House, AXIS, Kantech, Bosch, Genetec, Exacq Vision).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, site maps, drawings, and related installation/service documents.
- Professional image in person and in vehicle presentation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
- Flexible schedule; available for occasional nights/weekends and overnight travel.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on lifts; able to lift at least 50 pounds.
