Job OverviewWe’re looking for a Carpenter responsible for the assembly and removal of forms used for forming concrete structures during bridge/dam construction. These forms include footings, abutments, walls, pier stems/columns, pier caps, bridge decking and parapets. Other duties may be assigned by the Foreman or other management.
Location & TravelProjects will vary by location. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to any job site is required as needed. This position may include work in Milwaukee, Madison, Fort Atkinson, and other areas.
Qualifications- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Punctual and dependable.
- Ability to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
- Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather and dirty, dusty environments.
- Member of a Local Carpenters Union, or willingness to become a union member (union membership is not required prior to employment).
- Prior bridge construction experience and/or construction experience (preferred).
- Bridge decking experience.
- Proficient in building form footings, forming walls, wings, and tying in corners using concrete forming systems.
