The Seasonal Equipment Operator / Snowplow Driver assists the Department of Public Works with snow and ice removal and other duties as assigned during the winter months approximately mid-November through mid-April on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (flexible) and/or as needed (a typical season may require approximately 2-20+hours/week in addition to the weekend hours). Required days of work can include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
The employee is paid only for actual hours worked. Employees will receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Salary range starting at $24.5799 - $29.5241 hourly (DOQ)

- Employees will be exposed to cold, wet, and slippery conditions.
- There will be exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.
- Frequently subject to work outside of a normal work hour/week schedule as weather or circumstances dictate, e.g. snowstorms, rain/wind storms, or other events requiring response to protect the public as a result of natural or man-made circumstances.
- Employees will need to be available to report for work within 1-hour of call-in. Operations may extend to a 16 hour shift.
