Waunakee Utilities is looking for a hands-on professional to help keep our community running smoothly. We are now accepting applications for a water/sewer operator. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Preference will be given to a licensed water operator. If not licensed, a license must be obtained. Applicants must have the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks. Knowledge of safety rules and good communication and technology skills are also important. This position requires the applicant to serve on-call duty on regular cycles.

A 30-mile residency policy applies. If hired, a Commercial Driver’s License must be obtained within six months of employment. Employment is contingent upon a successful physical fitness examination and drug and alcohol screening.

Competitive pay and a strong benefit package is provided. EOE. Wage range between $25.35 to $31.53 depending on qualifications.
