Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift The QTI Group

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a direct‑hire position offering full benefits, a 4‑day workweek, and no on‑call schedule. This role is essential to minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe, productive work environment.

Compensation

Starting at $24.74/hour (based on experience) + 2.00 shift premium = $26.74/hour

Schedule

2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday 3:00 pm–1:30 am

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and recommend solutions for potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and parts usage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with technicians and other departments to complete projects efficiently.
  • Keep tools and equipment organized and in good working condition.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of maintenance or related technical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
