Waunakee Utilities Electric Department Limited Term Employee
Waunakee Utilities is accepting applications for a limited-term employee, which is anticipated to last approximately six months.
Position OverviewThis position will be one that supports the operations of the Electric Department. Responsibilities will include assisting with manual tasks associated with the construction and maintenance of the electric system.
Position RequirementsApplicants must have the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks. Applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be 18 years old.
Physical fitness and drug and alcohol screening are required. Knowledge of safety rules and good communications skills are also important. The successful candidate will also be expected to be a quick learner and be able to follow detailed directions. Preference will be given to candidates with a CDL, but a CDL is not mandatory.
It is anticipated the person hired for this position will be required to work approximately 40 hours per week; with overtime being provided on limited occasions depending on the needs of the Utility. No paid time off will be granted although the Utility will be flexible if a situation dictates that the employee needs limited unpaid time off.
Further InformationNo benefits are offered and the salary is $27 per hour. Working hours are Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.
