• Prepare work sites to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Signal operators to facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes.
• Assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards throughout the process, including digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License;
  Class A CDL preferred
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, or walk for long periods
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred
