- Community Support Mentor
Opportunity Development Centers, Inc.
Responsibilities- Ability to support individuals to live independently in their community.
- Work as a mentor and build relationships with individuals to assist them to connect to their community.
- Support individuals with any activities of daily living needed to live independently, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, medication support, bill paying, and personal care support.
- Develop community relationships that foster connections between the person supported and community organizations (e.g., volunteer or join a club).
- Make decisions and work independently.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience working with persons with disabilities or in a mentor/teaching position that assists individuals in learning independent living skills.
- Experience and understanding of community resources and methods of teaching independent living skills.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and insured vehicle available for daily use.
