Job Description:Join our compassionate team as a Driver, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. Responsibilities:- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other designated locations
- Assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, conducting routine checks and reporting any issues
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- Communicate effectively with nursing home staff and residents regarding transportation schedules and changes
- Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with residents during transport
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents
- Assist with loading and unloading residents' mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or unexpected situations during transport
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Understanding of safety regulations and protocols
- Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges safely.
- Familiarity with local routes and GPS navigation systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
- Must pass a caregiver background check and motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Education High School Diploma/GED
- Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
