Detail Center-Undercoat​/Spray Bed Liner Technician

Position Summary

The Undercoating Technician is responsible for applying rustproofing and undercoating products to vehicles in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Apply undercoating and rustproofing materials to new and used vehicles
• Prepare vehicles for application, including washing, masking, and positioning
• Operate undercoating and spray equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect vehicles before and after application to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Perform basic vehicle movement and positioning as needed
• Accurately complete required documentation and work orders
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and management

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in undercoating, detailing, automotive service, or a related field is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work under vehicles for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to chemicals and noise
