Northcentral Technical College (NTC) invites applications for the Administrative Billing Insurance role. This Limited‑Term Employment (LTE) position will conclude on June 30, 2029. The position supports the NTC Dental Programs with a primary focus on billing, insurance processing, and superior customer service.
Job SummaryWorking closely with the clinic manager, faculty, students, and patients, you will coordinate administrative operations in a fast‑paced community dental clinic environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Verify patient dental insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to appointments.
- Accurately process and submit dental insurance claims, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and timelines.
- Post insurance payments and adjustments and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Track and follow up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Assist patients in understanding account balances, responsibilities, and collect payments, co‑pays, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient financial records and documentation of all billing and payment activities.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with clinic policies, insurance regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
- Greet and check in patients for clinic, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Receive a high volume of incoming calls from patients and vendors, providing accurate information and courteous service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in health administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dental billing or insurance processing.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Eagle, Care Cloud) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance carriers, and clinic staff.
- Knowledge of dental insurance regulations and payer requirements is an asset.
