Inpatient Setting 7 On / 7 Off Schedule IMLC Welcome

Opportunity Snapshot:

A leading hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin, is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for inpatient locum coverage. This position features a 7-on/7-off schedule, with manageable call responsibilities, and is open to candidates holding or eligible through the IMLC.

Key Details:

• Coverage Dates: ASAP - June 30, 2026

• Schedule:
  
  7 on / 7 off 11-hour days with 2 nights of call per week

• Setting:
  Inpatient - Hospital-based

• Call: STEMI and emergent TVP coverage only

• Call Ratio: 2 of 7 nights

• Call Response Time:
  Immediate or within 10 minutes

• Patient Volume: 25-30 patients per shift

• Admissions: 2 per day

• Call Back Percentage: 5-10%

• Hospital Size: 220 beds

• Trauma Level: II

• EMR:
  Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiology - Required

• Active Wisconsin Medical License or IMLC - Accepted

• ACLS Certification - Required
