Job Description

The Quality Engineer will oversee the entirety of the quality assurance process for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve engineering packets for new orders as part of cross-functional review.
  • Develop Process Control Plans and PFMEAs as required.
  • Interact with external customers and suppliers regarding product nonconformances and conduct failure analysis when needed.
  • Initiate internal and external Corrective Actions (CARs/SCARs) when necessary.
  • Supervise incoming and first article inspection areas and generate customer PPAP reports.
  • Determine sampling plans, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability trend data.
  • Maintain the calibration program, ensuring tooling and equipment are scheduled for calibration at defined intervals and that records are accurate.
  • Manage the Quality and Inspection Team to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three to five years of quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with FMEA, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing techniques, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Ability to analyze data quickly and drive concepts to deliverables.
  • Experience leading a team to success and the ability to adapt to change.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information to a broad audience.
  • Highly organized, consistent, and proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Independent work style, proactive behavior, and high resiliency.
