Dover Precision Components is hiring an accounting-based
Finance Manager for our Waukesha Bearings brand. Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems and seals for high-performing turbo machinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine, military, and industrial markets. This role is the Finance and Accounting lead supporting our Lean Manufacturing site located in Antigo, Wisconsin with additional accounting oversight for our Guaymas, Mexico site (travel 1-2 times a year).
This role offers plant-based accounting and finance leadership and reports into a global Finance team for Dover Precision Components, part of $7.5 billion Dover Corporation. What You’ll Do- Completes the month end close process, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and variance analyses.
- Operates as the trusted finance business parter on the leadership team at the site. Drives business decisions through analysis and owning KPI reporting, demonstrating confidence in understanding and communicating site performance drivers and recommendations.
- Works with large data sets, translating into trends, signals and management information to drive the financial performance of the business.
- Collaborates with many non-finance stakeholders to truly understand the business and drive positive change.
- Acts as primary point of contact for any external or internal audits carried out on site.
- Implements, monitors, and enhances accounting procedures and internal controls. Ensures controls are operating as designed to comply with Dover Core Internal Controls (CIC) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and preparation of management accounts in line with US GAAP principles.
- Demonstrates strong balance sheet management skills as owner of balance sheet reconciliations and trend reviews to ensure robust financial statements.
- Promotes Continuous Improvement (CI) culture. Utilizes CI methods to raise accuracy (quality), improve processing time, and enhance reporting. Works to increase employee productivity through elimination of redundant activities, root cause investigations, and automation through use of Lean methods.
- Monitors achievement against variable sales and compensation plans to align with performance outputs including bonus programs, sales incentive programs, rebates, and commissions.
- Works closely with Shared Service locations to ensure financial operations, systems and controls are aligned globally and optimized.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience as a financial Business Partner for Operations and Manufacturing Sites.
- Experience in Accounting and Finance roles within manufacturing environment. Experience in financial statements, Annual Operating Plan, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Word and Power Point.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of information in area of responsibility.
- Exceptional attention to Detail required.
- Additional education and/or certifications: CPA, CMA, master’s degree, Six Sigma training.
- Experience with in Lean Six Sigma, engineered components manufacturing environment(s).
- ERP systems experience such as Syteline.
- Experience with progressive billing and government contracts.
