Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a Cardiac Device Clinic Specialist to join our team!
The Device Clinic Specialist provides quality cardiac rhythm device services to patients throughout the Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute service area.
HOURS:
Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. Monday-Friday; day shift. No call, no weekends – periodic travel to support outreach.
- Associate Degree in cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary, nursing or biomedical electronic sciences or a Bachelor’s Degree in cardiovascular/cardiopulmonary sciences beneficial.
- Knowledge of ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia), cardiac clinical assessment, and routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents (indications, use and effects).
- Knowledge of the technological aspects of devices (pacemakers, ICDs) i.e., pulse generators, leads and electrodes, sensing, stimulation, timing cycles, algorithms and defibrillation concepts.
- Completes Basic ECG class and passes with 85% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.
- Computer skills required.
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license.
- Previous cardiac related experience
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Successful completion of the IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) Certification Examination for Competency in Cardiac Rhythm Device Therapy desired within 3 years of hire.
