Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility

• Float to all inpatient units as needed

• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum callback

• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit

• Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients

• Handle post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, and ablation patients

• Manage acute chest pain/MI, medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations

• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)

• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required

• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips mandatory

• At least one travel assignment must be completed

• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required

• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover

• Must be able to work independently and manage change well

The facility provides advanced cardiac services including post-operative care for complex cardiac procedures, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology services. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes EPIC electronic health records system for patient documentation.
