Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• 36 guaranteed hours per week

• 13-week contract assignment

• Must be outside 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Float to all inpatient units as needed

• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back

• Typically maintain 1:4 patient ratio

• Care for post-operative CABG/valve patients, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmia management, CHF, post-catheterization procedures, pacemaker and defibrillator patients, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations, and respiratory failure

• Work in fast-paced environment with high patient turnover

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and ACLS

• Must pass EKG test during first week of employment

• Minimum experience requirements: 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience

• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips

• At least one completed travel assignment required

• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required

• Scrubs: any color allowed

• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Must complete clinical interview
