Location: Town of Wausau

The Associate Director of Talent will lead local recruiting and community engagement initiatives for a high-growth professional services office. This individual will develop strategic pipelines of candidates, foster strong relationships within the regional business community, and play a key role in shaping the culture and reputation of the organization in its local markets. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for connecting people to meaningful career opportunities.

Duties
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing prospective professionals.

  • Build a strong community presence through networking, events, and local partnerships to strengthen brand awareness.

  • Collaborate with advisors and leadership to understand hiring goals and align recruitment strategies.

  • Develop and execute creative grassroots recruiting campaigns to attract top talent.

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics and selection ratios to refine sourcing and conversion strategies.

  • Cultivate an energetic and collaborative office environment through cultural initiatives and team engagement.

  • Act as a brand ambassador in the marketplace, differentiating the firm from competitors through authentic relationship-building and consistent messaging.

  • Support business growth by driving recruiting results in a competitive, relationship-driven environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in recruiting, sales, or talent acquisition.

  • Proven ability to independently source, evaluate, and onboard candidates using platforms such as Linked In, Indeed, and Handshake.

  • Strong community network and understanding of local market dynamics.

  • Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, competitive recruiting environments.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.

Preferred:

  • Experience or familiarity with the financial or professional services industry.

  • Proven ability to build office culture and team cohesion through leadership and engagement.

  • Strong grasp of grassroots marketing and community engagement strategies.
