Overview
Assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Materials team works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship product to customers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
- Apply basic problem‑solving skills to handle discrepancies in orders or inventory.
- Read and interpret work instructions, and perform basic computer functions related to data entry.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills for efficient space utilization and inventory management.
- Lift, move, and handle materials safely.
- Be cross‑trained and able to support all Material Handler I roles.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
- Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
- Ability to follow blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
