Operator, Bottling – 2nd Shift
Location: Wausau, WI (On‑Site)
Shift: Monday‑Thursday, 3:00 pm – 1:00 am
Final date to receive applications: 1/17/25
Expected Salary: $19.00 per hour plus shift premium
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, adjust, clean, and sanitize equipment to produce products within quality standards and per procedures.
- Perform minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required.
- Assist colleagues in trained areas as directed by the supervisor.
- Print and apply labels to product.
- Verify lot and batch numbers; maintain accurate production records and equipment logs.
- Assist in developing and improving SOPs.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and ensure safe operation of equipment at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety training and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
- Work closely with operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment failures or problems.
- Adhere to Powered Air‑Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements when working in environments with airborne contaminants.
- Maintain and ensure proper care and use of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Take necessary samples for QC testing as needed.
- Complete necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and inventory records.
- Adhere to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, safety, and standardized work procedures.
- Adhere to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process, including conversions of weight and volume in the metric system.
- Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches.
- Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift (preferred).
- Ability to use basic hand tools for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
- Effective communication skills with co‑workers regarding production status.
- Basic computer skills; ERP system knowledge (SAP) is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED with production experience (preferred).

The working environment is a production unit with frequent exposure to wet, humid, dusty, or loud conditions, moving machine parts, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Company‑issued personal protective equipment is expected to be worn at all times inside the production environment, including dust mask/PAPR, hearing protection, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes. Work may occur in small rooms with air‑lock compliance to avoid interdepartmental contamination.
PhysicalDemands
Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, and/or move materials or equipment up to 50 lbs., use hands to finger, handle objects, tools, or controls, and roll bags. Occasional scooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as foot/feet use to operate machinery, may be required. Specific vision abilities required include vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
